What’s in a Name…

The name Hawthorn is a tribute to my dearest Mum and our family home, a place where she cared for and nourished us. She made osteopathic treatment a core part of our upbringing, and so it became an integral part of my own healthcare journey navigating chronic pain, and sparking a curiosity and passion for better Healthcare.
Health is a fundamental part of being human, yet what it means to feel healthy is deeply personal and unique to each individual. No two people experience pain, recovery, or wellbeing in exactly the same way. As a healthcare professional, I take a person-centred and biopsychosocial approach to care, looking beyond tissue injury alone to consider the many physical, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors that can influence both pain and our ability to cope when health is challenged. At Hawthorn Health Alliance, the aim is to support you in finding your own version of health, in a way that feels meaningful, realistic, and sustainable for you.
Alliance represents partnership, collaboration, and working together towards a shared goal. Osteopathy is part of the wider network of Allied Health Professions (AHPs), where the focus is not only on treatment, but on empowering and supporting people in their health journey. At Hawthorn Health Alliance, care is built on a strong therapeutic relationship, one where you are listened to, involved, and supported in decision-making about your health. This may include developing a management plan together, exploring strategies for self-management and rehabilitation, or helping you access additional services and support through education, guidance, resource sharing, and referral when appropriate.
Hawthorn Health Alliance are committed to providing evidence based Osteopathic care in East Sussex at accessible prices.
