Hawthorn Health Alliance is proud to be a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQIA+ community. As a queer health practitioner, I am passionate about providing equitable healthcare to all. Barriers to care such as discrimination and cis heteronormative narratives have prevented many in our community accessing the care they need and deserve.
My experience includes working with Trans and NB folks in a specialist Trans osteopathic clinic in London, as well as undertaking additional Trans Awareness Training with Gendered Intelligence. For my Masters research I focussed on LGBTQIA+ healthcare provision, which highlighted the negative experiences faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals and a need to improve training for all health professionals.
My dedication to inclusivity means I prioritise patient comfort, and aim for you to feel valued, respected, and supported throughout your experience. Patients will never be asked to do anything they aren’t comfortable with, and there is no necessity to undress, see more about this in What to Expect.
